Missouri Industrial Site Earns Platinum Designation from Site Selector’s Guild

SEMO Industrial Park in Scott City received a REDI Sites Platinum designation from the Site Selectors Guild, which is the highest level of designation in the REDI Sites program. This places the 380-acre SEMO Industrial Park in an elite category, highlighting its readiness for large-scale industrial development. According to the Site Selectors Guild, “The site readiness program gives site selection consultants fast access to investment-ready sites that have undergone a rigorous assessment process set by the Site Selectors Guild.”

As the first Missouri site to earn the REDI Sites Platinum designation, this recognition underscores the region’s commitment to fostering economic growth and attracting major investments. 

“Our goal from the beginning has been to create an industrial park where companies can move forward with confidence,” said Gregg Erb, SEMO Industrial Park’s developer and co-owner. “That means investing in infrastructure, completing due diligence and preparing the property before a company arrives. Achieving REDI Sites Platinum validates that work and strengthens our ability to compete for companies looking for a location where they can invest, build and grow.”

The designation also highlights the work of Southeast Missouri Regional Economic Development Inc. (SEMO REDI) to prepare the region for new investment and position Southeast Missouri for long-term industrial growth. Through strategic site development and collaboration with regional partners, SEMO REDI is helping create opportunities for companies looking to invest, expand and grow in the region.

The park is also a Missouri Certified Site and is already demonstrating its development potential. Its first project, a 61,000-square-foot Amazon last-mile delivery facility, opened in 2025, establishing a strong foundation for future industrial development.

To help companies move projects forward more quickly, SEMO REDI and the SEMO Industrial Park are developing a virtual spec-building concept that offers a 150,000-square-foot industrial facility expandable to 250,000 square feet.
