Officials with World Wide Technology have signed a letter of intent to build a new $60 million headquarters in Westport Plaza, said Bob O’Loughlin of Lodging Hospitality Management.
The project, which would call for a new 200,000-square-foot facility in Westport, is still subject to the company finding financing for the project, but it’s another step in the process for World Wide Technology, which according to CEO Jim Kavanaugh is bursting at the seems at its current headquarters at 701 Fee Fee Road in Maryland Heights.
WWT, with $6.8 billion in revenue for 2014, is the second-largest privately held company in the region. It added about 500 employees in 2014, and Kavanaugh said he expects to add another 600 people this year.
