Russell Cellular, a wireless communications service company, recently broke ground on its new 40,000 sq. ft. headquarters facility in Battlefield, Missouri. The new HQ is expected to create 135 new jobs in the region.
“Nationally, the majority of all new jobs are created by existing businesses in a community, and Russell Cellular’s expansion is a great example of that,” said Ryan Mooney, Senior Vice President of Economic Development at the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. “We applaud their decision to create these kinds of high-wage jobs right here in our region, and we’ll continue to focus our efforts on creating a vibrant community that encourages the creation of additional projects like this in our region.”
Russell Cellular has experienced significant growth in recent years, operating more than 400 stores across 30 states and employing more than 1,700 people, due to its role as one of the nations largest Verizon Authorized retailers.
