Denmark based Vest Fiber has announced an expansion of its employment in the United States due to the strength in the wind turbine industry.
Based in Tarm, Denmark the global provider of fiberglass components to the wind industry is expanding its Moberly, Missouri facility. The expansion will result in the creation of 30 new full-time positions in the coming months.
“An increase in the company’s customer demands is resulting in the need for additional quality craftsmen,” said Corey Mehaffy, President of Moberly Area Economic Development. “Since meeting with the company in 2010 they have had a steady increase in the demand for their product made here in central Missouri. In fact they often exporting their products to other countries.”
Vest-Fiber was founded in 2000 as a traditional supplier of small fiberglass products and services to the Wind Turbine industry. In 2010 the company opened its first North American facility in Moberly, Missouri starting with a dozen employees.
The company is hosting a job fair at its facility in Moberly at 1800 Robertson Road on Wednesday, January 20th from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. Interviews will be conducted during the Job Fair. Positions needing to be filled include manufacturing and maintenance technicians.
