Two Missouri restaurants named best breakfast spots in the U.S.

Good news for early birds in Missouri, Travel + Leisure magazine has deemed two Missouri restaurants some of the best breakfast spots in the U.S.: Chez Elle Creperie and Coffeehouse in Kansas City and The Mud House in St. Louis.

The magazine recommends The Fromage, with gooey Brie, charred bacon and a garnish of fresh pesto that “adds an elegant, herbal balance.”

“Mud House chef Tara Lansangan estimates that she’s come up with at least 50 iterations of Dat Hash since spring 2013,” Travel + Leisure stated.

For the fall, the magazine recommends the fall hash that comes with sweet taters, Brussels sprouts, garlic and preserved lemon, which is served on whole grain toast with poached eggs.
