Columbia, Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri, have each been named among the “Best Places To Live In 2019” by Livability. The study looked at more than 1,000 cities with populations between 20,000 and 1,000,000 and ranked them based on more than 40 data points grouped into eight categories: amenities, demographics, education, economy, health care, housing, social and civic capital, and infrastructure.
Columbia topped the list for the Missouri cities coming in at number six. The central Missouri city was highlighted for it variety of offerings to both young professionals and families — namely its strong economy and its easy access to shopping, culture, arts and activities.
Kansas City, Missouri, ranked 49thon the list, and was highlighted for itsgreat economy, plentiful cultural amenities, great sports teams and affordable housing. While St. Louis rounded out the list at number 100, and was highlighted for its diversity of cuisine and culture, tons of free attractions, and overall affordability.
