St. Louis County sold $7 million in bonds Tuesday to build a new incubator in Creve Coeur and renovate existing ones.
The new incubator, which will be adjacent from the Bio-Research & Development Growth (BRDG) Park and Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, will house 15 to 20 plant life science startups that aren’t yet ready for the high-end labs across the street, said Jackie Davis-Wellington, executive vice president of the St. Louis County Economic Council. The goal is to have the companies test their concepts in the feeder incubator before moving and expanding to the BRDG Park, she said.
