Recent Investments in Food Production and Advanced Manufacturing
Cold Zone, a leading provider of cold storage logistics solutions, recently broke ground on a $57 million state-of-the-art facility in Springfield, Missouri. The 170,000-square-foot facility will be located at one of Missouri’s Certified Sites and will feature temperature zones for both frozen and cooler products.
Paul Mueller Company, a leading manufacturer of high-quality stainless steel equipment for the food and beverage industry since the 1940s, announced a $20 million expansion of its Springfield, Missouri headquarters. The expansion will add 100,000 square feet of space dedicated to production and R&D initiatives and is expected to create 100 jobs.
Youngstown Glove Company announced plans to construct a new $15 million facility in Springfield. The industrial and utility glove manufacturer is expanding into Springfield from its Aurora, Missouri facility to add a new product line and grow the company to 75-100 employees.
As a midwestern city known for its friendly community, affordable cost of living, and rich outdoor and cultural offerings, it’s fitting that Springfield, Missouri was ranked fourth on U.S. News and World Report’s 25 Best Affordable Places to Live in the U.S.
