In the November 2016 Site Selection magazine, Frank Spano and Susan Riffle take a look at the aerospace industry and what makes states, like Missouri, attractive for aerospace manufacturers. You can read the full article, plus a report on the continued growth of Boeing’s investment in Missouri in their defense, space, security, commercial and sustainment businesses, on the Site Selection website.
But what it comes down to, according to Site Selection magazine, is talent, training incentives, logistics and distribution, and utilities. When you realize that, and then get to know what Missouri has to offer and how these areas are significant strengths for our state, it’s easy to see why Missouri is not only seeing increased investment from Boeing, but is also home to 100 aerospace manufacturing companies statewide.
As a side note, Missouri is ranked the 5th most attractive state for aerospace manufacturers in 2016 by PwC.
