Schnuck Markets Inc. officials said Thursday they will begin construction this summer on a new distribution center, estimated to cost $100 million, in north St. Louis County.
The St. Louis grocery chain plans to build the 915,000-square-foot facility at the NorthPark business park in Kinloch and would employ about 400 people. The NorthPark facility would join Schnuck’s 570,000-square-foot grocery warehouse in Bridgeton, a facility built in 1971 that Schnucks said has gone through several expansions to accommodate company growth.
