A plant that makes nails in southeast Missouri will spend $5 million on an expansion project, with plans to hire 91 new workers.
The Poplar Bluff Daily American Republic (http://bit.ly/14xhyUm ) reports that Mid Continent Nail Corp. already employs 400 workers in Poplar Bluff. The company has not said when the new workers will be hired.
The Butler County Commission is seeking $1.8 million in funding from a state grant program to build an overpass over railroad tracks as part of the project.
