Gov. Jay Nixon on Thursday afternoon signed the Missouri Manufacturing Jobs Act in the Kansas City area, which has a Ford Motor Co. assembly plant that could be a key beneficiary of the bill.
Nixon signed the legislation at the site of United Auto Workers Local 249, which is near Ford’s (NYSE: F) Kansas City Assembly Plant, before a crowd of a couple hundred. Other General Assembly members attended, including bill sponsor Rep. Jerry Nolte, R-Gladstone.
