Nine high schools in Missouri made the Newsweek ‘America’s Top High Schools 2015’ list, which includes 500 high schools from the U.S.
The results of this list are based on several different factors, such as college readiness, graduation rate, what percentage of the student body is college bound and poverty levels. This list only ranks the best public schools in the nation, not private schools.
Seven of the nine high schools on this list are either in or around the St. Louis area, the other two are located in Maryville and Riverside, Missouri.
Last year’s list included only five Missouri high schools, and three of the five are on the list again this year.
