Missouri delivers more than you expect. In Missouri, you’ll find more of everything. More global industries. More diverse assets. More affordability. All month long, Missouri Partnership is celebrating “more” by taking a look back at some of Missouri’s biggest stories in economic development from 2020. Today, we’re checking out Chewy, Inc.’s new investment in Belton, Missouri.
In July, Chewy, Inc., a pet supply company, announced the opening of a new 800,000 sq. ft. e-commerce fulfillment center in Belton. The online retailer of pet food and pet-related products says the investment will create more than 1,200 new jobs in the region.
“Now more than ever, Missouri’s innovative businesses, logistics infrastructure and talented workforce are critical to our economy,” said Missouri Governor Mike Parson. “Chewy, Inc.’s decision to expand in Belton and create new jobs for Missouri families is a testament to our ongoing business strengths even as we work to recover from COVID-19. We welcome Chewy to Missouri and look forward to working together as the company grows and invests in our state.”
