Missouri’s API Innovation Center Recognized as Building a More Resilient Biopharma Supply Chain in 2025

The API Innovation Center (APIIC) in St. Louis was featured in Pharma Manufacturing for leading efforts to build a more resilient biopharmaceutical supply chain in the U.S. The article explores reshoring, technology integration, and global collaboration as critical to addressing the biopharmaceutical sector’s current and future supply chain challenges.

APIIC was recognized for its efforts in reshoring critical ingredients for generic prescriptions with an overall goal to develop and manufacture domestically produced APIs. According to the article, “The center partners with government and industry and invests in advanced manufacturing equipment that has the potential to increase scalability and decrease the cost of production.”
