All month long Missouri Partnership is taking a look back at some of Missouri’s biggest stories in economic development from the past year, and today we are taking a look at the ribbon cutting for CVS Health’s new distribution center in Kansas City, Missouri. When fully operational, the new distribution center will add more than 360 new jobs to the Kansas City area, as well as an additional 70 to 100 jobs through work with local businesses.
To mark the occasion, CVS Health held a ribbon cutting ceremony at the distribution center with Governor Mike Parson, Kansas City Councilman Dan Fowler and Platte County Presiding Commissioner Rob Schieber. The event provided an opportunity for area partners to celebrate the opening and commemorate the collaborative support among state and local agencies throughout the planning and development process for the new facility.
