Maryville University, in St. Louis, Missouri, has expanded with a new technology center at the Cortex Innovation Community’s 4220 building. The facility, which is Maryville’s first academic center at Cortex, is called the Fusion Center and will be used by the college’s cybersecurity and management information systems programs.
The new facility will be an extension of Maryville’s Cyber Fusion Center which, according to the university, has offered free cybersecurity services to more than 150 companies and organizations. Maryville plans to offer the same services at no charge to startups in the Cortex district.
Maryville University is the latest local university to set up shop in Cortex. Saint Louis University and Washington University in 2019 bolstered their footprint in Cortex with the opening of COLLAB.
