Boeing’s Missouri-based Defense Space and Security division has attained approval to sell Missouri-made fighter jets to Kuwait and Qatar. The deal worth an estimated $7 billion has the possibility of adding more highly-skilled advanced manufacturing jobs to the Boeing production facilities in Missouri.
The U.S. is the world’s largest aerospace producer and Missouri has a rich history in aerospace, from Charles Lindbergh, to the Mercury space program, to the latest in aerospace innovation. Today, Missouri is home to 100 aerospace manufacturing companies and Missouri talent builds Boeing’s F/A-18, EA-18 and F-15 fighter jets, along with a huge array of military ordinance.
