Missouri Partnership Hires New Business Recruiter; Will Base in Kansas City

Missouri Partnership recently announced the selection of Sean M. Johnson as its new Vice President of Business Recruitment. Sean will officially join the Partnership team on June 1 and will be based in Kansas City, Missouri.

“This was a nationwide search for the best candidate to represent Missouri to companies and site selectors around the world,” said Missouri Partnership CEO Steve Johnson. “Sean is joining a high-quality team, and his experience and desire to win will be a key part of the team taking our recruitment efforts to the next level and improving the lives of Missouri residents by attracting new jobs and investment to communities across our state.”

Sean has strong professional and personal connections in Missouri and began his career in economic development at the Kansas City Area Development Council (KCADC), followed by leadership roles in: Lawrence, Kansas; Blair, Nebraska; and, most recently, Omaha, Nebraska, where he served as the Senior Director for Business Development for the Greater Omaha Chamber

In his new role, Sean will work as part of a statewide Missouri team focused on providing direct support to companies and site consultants interested in investing and creating jobs. The team works to connect companies with the best locations and customized solutions for their business objectives. Missouri is a highly-attractive investment destination across a number of industries including advanced manufacturing, financial and data analytics, logistics and distribution, agtech, food solutions, health innovation and energy storage.

Sean holds a BS in Business Administration from Dana College in Blair, Nebraska, and an MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
