Missouri Partnership announced today that Mark Sutherland has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer.
Sutherland will continue to be responsible for the branding, marketing and promotion of Missouri globally to business audiences, overseeing all earned, owned and paid promotion efforts, while also engaging in attraction projects in the aerospace/defense, geospatial and agtech sectors and FDI projects from the United Kingdom.
“Mark has really taken the marketing of Missouri to a new level in the past four years,” Subash Alias, CEO of Missouri Partnership, said. “This expanded role that leverages his skills and his connections to build relationships with key media and decision makers globally is an essential move for the organization. Sutherland joined Missouri Partnership in 2015 and has worked in communications since 1992. During his career he has been recognized with 42 awards for professional communications and by two US presidents for his non-profit volunteer efforts. Born in Scotland and raised in England, Sutherland immigrated directly to Missouri. Sutherland serves as the British Honorary Consul for Missouri and as a GlobalScot, providing support to both the British and Scottish Governments in the United States. He is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a BS degree in Global Leadership and Management.
