Missouri Partnership announced today that Kim Gerlt has been promoted to Director, Business Recruitment & Capacity Building. In her new role, Gerlt will lead business attraction projects and continue to increase Missouri’s competitiveness through the organization’s Capacity Building program.

Gerlt joined Missouri Partnership as Business Recruitment Manager & Legal Specialist in March 2021. Since then, she has provided invaluable support to the Project Management team, leading to nearly 5,900 new jobs and more than $3.4 billion in capital investment from global companies. Gerlt has also supported the organization’s General Counsel on various legal items as part of her role as Legal Specialist.
Missouri Partnership has a robust Capacity Building program – Raise the Bar. Gerlt has done extensive work with the program. In her new role, she will lead this effort to help Missouri communities prepare for business attraction projects.

Prior to joining Missouri Partnership, Gerlt worked at The Missouri Bar. She spent most of her career in state government where she worked in various departments, including the Department of Insurance, Boards and Commissions in the Office of Missouri Governor, as well as the Missouri Attorney General’s Office.
