Readout Health, a St. Louis, Missouri-based digital health company, recently launched its first medical device and also raised $1.2 million in financing. The company’s consumer device, called BIOSENSE, is designed to provide users with real-time metabolic self-monitoring.
“The target (market) is for those following dietary protocol, weight management, performance athletes and biohackers,” Readout CEO Jim Howard said about the product.
The startup’s handheld metabolism-tracking device provides users with ketone data and nutritional ketosis feedback through the use of breath samples. The device’s users are able to track and analyze their personal data through a mobile app.
