Missouri State University’s efactory and Cape Girardeau-based codefi, have been awarded a $2.94 million grant to expand vital entrepreneurial support and technical services across the state.
The funding, awarded by the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED), will support the launch of the Missouri Technical Assistance (MOTA) Program. This initiative aims to remove barriers for small businesses and startups by providing access to professional services that are often out of reach for rural entrepreneurs.
MOTA services will span the entire state and include critical resources such as accounting, financial advising, and legal support. These services are made possible through the State Small Business Credit Initiative, funded by the U.S. Department of the Treasury as part of the American Rescue Plan Act.
By offering statewide access to expert guidance and support, this program aims to help small businesses in underserved communities grow and thrive.
