Boeing’s Defense, Space and Security division, whose 14,000+ Missouri employees make the F/A-18, F-15, EA-18, and a large amount of military ordinance, is increasing its production of small diameter bombs to five times the current production rate by the end of 2017.
Greg Coffey, Boeing’s JDAM programs director, told the Wall Street Journal that he expects production to reach levels not seen since the early days of the Iraq War.

And that’s not all that’s new at Boeing’s Missouri facilities. Just last month, the brand new TX aircraft, designed specifically for the U.S Air Force’s training requirements, completed its first flight in St. Louis.
