JCI Industries Inc., a supplier of industrial pumps, motors and other equipment, has more than doubled its Lee’s Summit production facility and plans to add 31 new jobs over the next six years.
The expansion, which represents an investment of $3.1 million, increased JCI’s footprint in Lee’s Summit to 82,000 square feet and more than doubled its shop space to 45,000 square feet. The operation also includes an 18,000-square-foot distribution facility, and office and conference space.
Founded in 1975, JCI Industries now employs 90 local workers, with additional employees at service branches in Joplin, Jefferson City, Wichita, Dodge City, Des Moines and Lincoln, Neb.
The company has completed five building and expansion projects in Lee’s Summit during its more than 35 years there, JCI President Chip Toth said in a release.
