CliqStudios, the nation’s largest online retailer of semi-custom kitchen cabinets based on revenue, has selected St. Louis, Missouri as the site for its new cabinet design center. The $1.95 million investment is expected to bring nearly 100 new jobs to the region.
“This is great news for the St. Louis region and another concrete example of the economic progress we’re seeing all across our state,” said Missouri Governor Jay Nixon. “I thank CliqStudios for investing and creating jobs in our state, and look forward to seeing them continue to grow and succeed here in the heartland.”
CliqStudios is opening its new design center in St. Louis County in order to accommodate its quickly growing customer base. The company cited Missouri’s workforce, labor cost, available real estate, overall cost and incentives as key reasons for the move.
“We are seeing unprecedented success in companies locating good-paying jobs in St. Louis County because of all the advantages it brings,” St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger said. “Our high-quality workforce is talented, educated and hard working. We have excellent business real estate offerings and affordable housing. The bottom line is that companies are recognizing that St. Louis County is a great place to live and work.”
Missouri Partnership worked alongside the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership and the St. Louis Regional Chamber in assisting CliqStudios with their entry into Missouri.
“We would like to welcome CliqStudios to Missouri,” said Steve Johnson, CEO of Missouri Partnership. “Our team was honored to support their entry into Missouri, and we look forward to many years of growth for the company and the jobs they will create.”
With its strategic location, globally connected infrastructure, economic diversity, competitive business and labor costs, highly-skilled talent and a statewide commitment to attracting companies and investment, Missouri is a place where companies come to grow and thrive.
