Kansas City is set to host the National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones (NAFTZ) Annual Conference & Exposition. As the largest Foreign-Trade Zones (FTZ) event in the U.S., the conference will bring 500 FTZ professionals from across the country to Missouri this September.

Missouri’s central location and robust logistics infrastructure offers businesses reduced costs and streamlined global trade operations. Missouri has three Foreign Trade Zones across the state in St. Louis, Kansas City, and Springfield.

The Greater Kansas City Foreign Trade Zone, Inc. (GKCFTZ) handles more volume than the zones in Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Minneapolis, and St. Louis combined, underscoring Missouri’s leadership in facilitating efficient trade and resilient supply chains. It was ranked in the top 25 of the 200 active U.S. Foreign Trade Zones in multiple categories by the U.S. Foreign Trade Zone Board in 2023. Kansas City’s leadership as the largest and most active FTZ program in the nation makes it the perfect location to explore how FTZs can drive investment and strengthen regional competitiveness.

Kansas City’s proven leadership in FTZ management, coupled with its efficient infrastructure and supportive regulatory environment, makes it the ideal setting for the NAFTZ Annual Conference & Exposition, giving attendees firsthand insight into how an effective FTZ program can enhance global trade, attract investment, and drive regional competitiveness.
