The Boyd Co., based in Princeton, N.J., has ranked Kansas City No. 20 in a study of the annual operating costs for a data security center in the nation’s 45 largest regional financial centers.
Running a data center in Kansas City costs $12.2 million a year, putting it between the most expensive surveyed market — New York at $23.7 million a year — and the least expensive market — Sioux Falls, S.D., at $10.4 million annually, according to the study.
