Coala Life, a Swedish medical device startup, recently expanded with its first U.S. hub in St. Louis, Missouri. Coala is based in Stockholm and currently has about 20 employees.
“St. Louis has been an enormous entry point to us in the U.S. We have our first customers there,” said Coala Co-Founder and President Philip Siberg.
Founded in 2015, Coala developed a patch-free heart monitoring device that connects to a patient’s smartphone and provides real-time cardiac data for patients and physicians. The device received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in February.
