Hallmark Cards Inc. cut the ribbon on their new 500,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Independence, Missouri. Tom Lesnak, president of the Independence Council for Economic Development, said the ribbon-cutting ceremony heralded the completion of the third and final phase of Hallmark’s expansion. The company, which began moving into its new distribution center in December of 2015, currently employs 100 workers and may eventually add 50 more.
With its strategic location, globally connected infrastructure, economic diversity, competitive business and labor costs, highly-skilled and hard working talent and a statewide commitment to attracting companies and investment, Missouri is a place where companies come to grow and thrive.
