German Advanced Manufacturer Expands in Missouri

VSM Abrasives, an advanced manufacturer of abrasive materials, is expanding its plant in O’Fallon, Missouri.
The new 50,000 sq. ft. expansion represents $6 million in capital investment and will allow the O’Fallon site to increase space for shipping, materials, and finished goods, increasing its production capabilities.
“Despite the difficulties of COVID-19, VSM has had significant growth over the past few years. This expansion will allow us to accommodate our growth and better serve our future needs,” said VSM Abrasives President Brent Barton. “This will positively impact our customers, employees, and the surrounding St. Charles County community. We would like to thank our valued customers and dedicated employees; without them, this project would not be possible.”
Founded in 1864, Hanover, Germany-based VSM Abrasives is a manufacturer of coated abrasives for the industrial processing of metal and wood-based materials. The company has about 800 employees worldwide and 13 international subsidiaries, with its only U.S. subsidiary in O’Fallon.
