Upswot, a financial services company, has announced plans to relocate from San Francisco, California, to Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Upswot is also targeting future investment in St. Louis.
Founded in 2018, Upswot has developed a platform that allows small and mid-market companies to share financial, sales and marketing data with financial institutions from apps the businesses regularly use. The data is then tailored to provide risk, marketing and business insights for the financial institution and its client.
The company was attracted to Missouri because of its extremely low cost of living. Its decision to move was also impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the increase in virtual work.
Missouri is among the best states in the U.S. for company’s looking to transition to remote work. And don’t just take our word for it. Business Insider recently named multiple Missouri cities on its list of the 30 best American cities to live in after the pandemic.
