CNBC Ranks Missouri Best in US For Low Business Costs

Missouri has been ranked the number one state in the nation for low business costs. That’s according to CNBC. The state also ranked 10th best in the nation for infrastructure.
CNBC graded all 50 states based on more than 60 measures of competitiveness in 10 broad categories. Each category is weighted according to how frequently states use them as a selling point in economic development marketing materials.
Starting in 2020, Missouri’s corporate income tax rate dropped to 4 percent, making it one of the most tax-friendly states in the U.S. Missouri also moved to a single factor, market-based corporate income tax apportionment model based only on sales.
Corporate benefits such as low business and labor costs, customized training programs, reliable and inexpensive energy, aggressive and performance-based incentives and a statewide commitment to attracting companies and investment, make Missouri the best state in the nation for companies looking to grow and thrive.
