Boulevard selects site for new distribution center

Boulevard Brewing Co. announced that it entered into a long-term lease for a new distribution center in Kansas City that will give it three times more space.
As the Kansas City Business Journal first reported in September, the facility is on 87th Street between Interstate 435 and U.S. Highway 71. The 364,000 square-foot building is being constructed by NorthPoint Development in the Three Trails Industrial Park, which should be completed by spring. Boulevard leased half of the building, or 182,000 square feet.
The building will house all of Boulevard’s finished beer, along with a barrel-aging cellar and space for a bottling line for its Smokestack Series beers.
Boulevard has been in a 64,000-square-foot facility in the East Bottoms for the past eight years. It’s operations have grown substantially larger over that time period.
