Backed by a new owner with fresh capital and plans to bring Boulevard Brewing Co.’s beers worldwide, the Kansas City-based brewery launched an expansion project that will boost the capacity of the operation by 40 percent, to well over 300,000 barrels a year.
The brewery has been planning this project for years. So despite frigid temperatures during the groundbreaking, founder John McDonald was obviously excited to see the $12 million project moving forward.
