R&S Machining, which makes aerospace components and does machining work for other industries, is investing $6 million to build a second facility to handle current and anticipated growth.
The company plans to break ground later this month on a 40,000-square-foot manufacturing and office facility on property it owns at 4800 Baumgartner Road, adjacent to its current 20,000-square-foot headquarters at 6135 Bradley Manor Place in Mehlville.
The $6 million investment also will cover equipment for the new facility. The current building then will house the company’s processing and tooling operations.
President Tom Roderick said R&S currently employs 25 and plans to add 10 to 15 permanent jobs when the new facility is completed, expected in June 2016.
