Business News

The Kansas City Chiefs are Super Bowl champions! The Missouri-based football team defeated the San Francisco 49ers last night in Super Bowl LIV to bring the title home, and they aren’t the only Missouri sports team on a roll. On the other side of Missouri, the St. Louis Blues continue to put on a show defending their 2019 Stanley Cup win. Additionally, Missouri will soon be home to a new MLS team after the soccer organization announced that it had selected St. Louis as the home of one of its new teams.

All of these wins boil down to one irrefutable fact: Missouri is home to world-class talent that works as a team and gets the job done in a highly competitive environment.

With more than 3 million educated workers, Missouri’s talent pool is deep, specialized and experienced in our state’s key growth areas including advanced manufacturing, agtech and financial services. Missouri is home to top-flight universities such as the University of Missouri – Columbia, Missouri State in Springfield, Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla and many more.

In Missouri, we understand that an educated and trained workforce is essential to success. As a result, Missouri offers traditional and non-traditional training options for workers and companies that allow employers to recruit a workforce that is customized to fit their needs. Companies like LaunchCode and Claim Academy are filling the void in tech talent, and the customized pre-employment training developed by Boeing and St. Louis Community College is turning out new talent every year in the aerospace and defense industries. And Missouri’s new One Start program that leverages a network of colleges and training centers to provide customized training and workforce solutions, combined with Fast Track, A+ and other programs that provide free community college for Missourians, is ensuring that your talent pipeline is robust and full.

Maybe it’s time you took a look at Missouri. You may be surprised at the success the Show Me State can show you.

And one last thing.

GO CHIEFS!!
