Two Missouri companies, both located in St. Louis, have been awarded more the $30 million in military contracts.

Arnold Defense and Electronics, an aerospace and defense manufacturer, has been awarded a $10.5 million contract to build rocket launchers and other components for several militaries. Meanwhile, EWR Radar Systems, a provider of weather radar devices and technology, has won a $20.7 million contract from the U.S. Air Force.

With an average of $10.5 billion in prime and subcontracts awarded each year to companies located or performing work within the state, the Department of Defense has a large impact on Missouri’s economy. Defense contracting directly affects more than 600 industries and more than 25,000 businesses in Missouri, with Boeing leading the way.
