The electrical contracting and engineering company acquired a 25,000-square-foot office complex adjacent to its existing facility at 6001 Front St. in Kansas City, a release from the Toronto-based company said.

Kansas City is home to the company’s U.S. headquarters.

“The expanded complex, required to accommodate the growth of the past five years, allows all business units to be located together at the U.S. headquarters in Kansas City,” a release said.

According to the Kansas City Business Journal’s list of top area electrical contractors, Black & McDonald employs 381 full-time employees in the Kansas City area, including 247 licensed electricians.
