LockerDome, the St. Louis-based startup led by CEO Gabe Lozano, plans to add hundreds of jobs as it moves across Washington Avenue to a larger space owned by the McGowan brothers.
The move will more than double the company’s downtown footprint, from 6,800 square feet to around 18,000 square feet.
LockerDome, whose social media platform caters to users’ interests, will be in line for $3.7 million in state tax breaks through the Missouri Works program if it adds 200 to 300 jobs here over the next five years, said Amy Susan of the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
“We have plans for aggressive expansion, and the state package ensures we will stay and expand the bulk of operations in St. Louis as opposed to somewhere else,” Lozano said.
LockerDome this year has increased its employee headcount from 35 to nearly 50. Adding another 300 jobs is part of Lozano’s previously stated goal of having 1,000 tech companies with 10,000 employees working in the city by 2025.
