AT&T to invest $20 million in Bridgeton facilities

AT&T Inc. announced this morning that it will spend more than $20 million on infrastructure upgrades at two facilities in Bridgeton. The company also said it has nearly completed the hiring of 64 additional technicians in the Bridgeton area to support the growth of its U-verse services. AT&T is upgrading a work center at 3746 Pennridge Drive that will house U-verse technicians and management teams. The company also is renovating a data center building at 12976 Hollenberg Drive that the company said it is purchasing after having leased it for 20 years. ... Read More

UAW deal with GM adds, keeps jobs

General Motors Corp. announced plans to invest $380 million in its assembly plant in Wentzville, Mo., according to the St. Louis Business Journal. The deal, which will add a second shift at the St. Louis-area plant, is part of a tentative four-year contract with the United Auto Workers.
