A St. Joseph scrap metal company plans on building a $13 million facility in Kansas City.

On Tuesday, Midwest Scrap Management Inc. announced it selected contractors to build a non-ferrous — meaning all scrap metals that aren’t iron or steel — recovery system at its shredding facility at 8116 Wilson Road in Kansas City.
