BNSF Railway Co. officials say they plan to invest $210 million in Missouri this year on maintenance and rail capacity expansion projects.

So far this year, the company has hired 123 employees in Missouri out of 220 total it plans to hire in the state, Spokesman Andy Williams told the Business Journal. The company had 3,566 employees in Missouri last year and a payroll of $249.6 million.
