Kerry, a taste and nutrition company, recently announced plans to expand their Greenville, Missouri, production facility. The expansion represents more than $14 million in investment and will add four new jobs to the region.
“Kerry expanded to Greenville years ago and has grown ever since, helping us to achieve record employment with more Missourians working than ever before,” said Mike Downing, director of DED. “The company’s significant investment and decision to deepen its roots in Missouri is a testament to our state’s strong workforce and its business friendly environment. We are proud to partner with Kerry and see it continue to expand in the Show-Me State.”
The expansion will add more than 20,000 sq. ft. and will house sawdust receiving and storage, production equipment, and additional office and conference space. Kerry’s Missouri site produces a variety of liquid smoke products made from locally sourced hardwood sawdust. The liquid smoke items are used by Kerry’s customers to flavor familiar products such as hot dogs, lunchmeats and hams.
With its strategic location, globally connected infrastructure, competitive business and labor costs, highly-skilled and hard working talent, quality of life and a statewide commitment to attracting companies and investment, Missouri is a place where companies come to grow and thrive.
