Moon Ridge Foods, a pork processing business, has been awarded a CiCi Award for Corporate Investment & Community Impact, by Trade and Industry Development magazine. Moon Ridge Foods was honored for its expansion in Pleasant Hope, Missouri, where they constructed a new $54 million flagship pork processing facility and more than 160 jobs, in 2016.

“At its heart, Missouri is an agricultural state and Moon Ridge Foods exemplifies the high quality food products made right here in the Show-Me State,” said Acting Director of the Missouri Department of Economic Development Mike Downing. “I am pleased that Moon Ridge Foods has been honored with the 2017 Corporate Investment & Community Impact Award. We knew that their expansion in Pleasant Hope would make a huge impact in this community and the surrounding rural area, as they continue to create new jobs.”

This marked the fourth year in a row that a company in Missouri has been honored with a CiCi Award following Owens Corning’s win in 2016 for their expansion in Joplin, Missouri.
