Bayer Crop Science LP recently announced plans for the $42.7 million expansion of its manufacturing facility, in Kansas City, Missouri. The company says the 40,000 sq. ft. expansion will retain 100 existing jobs and could create new ones via possible future expansions.

“This investment strengthens the site’s capability and role as a world-class facility within the Bayer production network and helps to sustain employment at today’s level of approximately 600 full-time employees and 150 contract associates,” said Greg Coffey, deputy director of communications for Bayer U.S.
