A Look Back: Missouri’s Innovative Strategy To Fill IT Talent Pipeline

motherboard_13908937All month long Missouri Partnership is taking a look back at 31 of Missouri’s biggest stories in economic development from the past year. Today we take a look at companies like LaunchCode and Claim Academy and the work they are doing to fill Missouri’s IT talent pipeline.

LaunchCode, a non-profit organization based in St. Louis, Missouri, that works with businesses to set up apprenticeships in technology for talented people who lack the traditional IT credentials, and Claim Academy, which offers 12-week crash courses in programming with a focus on hands-on learning rather than lectures, and real world application rather than memorization, are two Missouri companies that are working to bridge the gap between IT talent and Missouri companies.

By offering new ways and opportunities for hardworking, intelligent people to get the skills needed to quickly enter the workforce LaunchCode and Claim Academy are closing the gap between IT talent and companies in Missouri.
