All month long Missouri Partnership is taking a look back at 31 of Missouri’s biggest stories in economic development from the past year. Today we take a look back at Mercy health system’s Virtual Care Center.
In 2016, the Missouri-based Virtual Care Center worked tirelessly as the world’s first medical facility dedicated entirely to virtual care outside of its walls. Branded a “hospital without beds,” the Virtual Care Center provides remote support for intensive-care units, emergency rooms, physician’s offices and even patients’ homes.
