A Look Back: Hartmann US Plays Key Role In Missouri Economic Development

insight23All month long Missouri Partnership is taking a look back at 31 of Missouri’s biggest stories in economic development from the past year. Today we are taking a look at Hartmann US’s new manufacturing plant in Rolla, Missouri.

On June 2, Brodrene Hartmann, the world’s leading manufacturer of molded-fiber egg packaging, entered the U.S. market with the groundbreaking of its manufacturing plant in Rolla, Missouri, representing more than $30 million in investment. The plant is bringing nearly 50 new jobs to the region.

“I appreciate the State of Missouri, the Missouri Partnership, and the Rolla Regional Economic Commission for their professionalism during the location strategy and final decision-making process,” said Gerry Lavis, President of Hartmann North America. “The central location with improved transportation access from the I-44 corridor and intermodal rail connections in St. Louis and Kansas City will allow us to quickly connect with our customers across the country.  Here, we have found an excellent regional manufacturing workforce and a competitive business climate overall, which factored into the final decision to locate to Rolla.”
