All month long Missouri Partnership is taking a look back at 31 of Missouri’s biggest stories in economic development from the past year. Today, we are taking a look at February 2016, when a $10.7 million investment in Missouri by AAIPharma Services Corp. and Cambridge Major Laboratories (CML) took place.
The investment in the Cortex Innovation Community saw the company adding jobs and becoming part of a vibrant community of more than 160 companies.
“This is yet another truly global bioscience company choosing Missouri for its strategic growth,” said Mike Downing, director of the Missouri Department of Economic Development. “As the Cortex Innovation Community grows, it continues to gain that much more gravity to attract further investment and job creation.”
In April, AAIPharma and CML rebranded themselves as Alcami.
And in case you wanted to know more about Cortex and everything that goes on there, here’s a little peek behind the doors.
