A Look Back: Advanced Manufacturer Builds On Missouri’s Distribution Strengths

All month long Missouri Partnership is taking a look back at 31 of Missouri’s biggest stories in economic development from the past year. Today we take a look at CertainTeed’s new advanced manufacturing facility in Jonesburg, Missouri.
On June 7, CertainTeed Roofing opened their new 210,000 sq. ft manufacturing and distribution facility that serves as the production and logistics center for the company’s roofing shingles.
“Today marks our official homecoming to this area, from CertainTeed’s humble start in nearby East St. Louis in 1904 to this highly advanced, state-of-the-art roofing facility here in Jonesburg,” said Tom Smith, president of CertainTeed Roofing. “This day wouldn’t have been possible without the unparalleled collaboration and support from the State of Missouri, under Governor Nixon’s leadership, the Missouri Department of Economic Development, Warren and Montgomery Counties and the City of Jonesburg. We are truly grateful for their support.”
CertainTeed said they chose the Missouri site for its strategic location and globally connected infrastructure.
